Artist Statement: Since losing my mother to a rare Sarcoma cancer, it has been my artistic purpose to compose music that it is healing, uplifting and inspiring. In my view, composition is an individual fine art form, analogous to canvass painting, and I therefore do not collaborate on my classical music, and I reserve all rights to my compositions, stories, biblical adaptations, productions and ballet suites. In other words, my music must be performed exactly as I have composed it or not at all. My 1st Piano Concerto is around the performance difficulty level of Chopin’s 24 Etudes, and Beethoven’s Opus 49: No. 2. As a self-taught composer & pianist, this achievement is very important to me. With intentionality, I do not play according to the pedagogical method, and compositionally I endeavor to convey what is in my heart with post-classical tonality. My music is my most critical form of free speech, even without words.
